(20.March.2020)

To Our Customers,

We are reaching out to give you insight into how Sylvan Gardens is responding to the COVID-19 crisis.

We are in the business of installing and maintaining landscapes for people to enjoy, but realize that we have new responsibilities in how we deliver these services during this period of social distancing.

Listed are some of our services that will change, as well as steps being taken to protect our staff during this time.

As of March 20, Governor Wolf’s office has ordered a statewide shutdown of all non-life-sustaining businesses in their physical locations / operations. We are included in this latest measure.

We will continue to update you as these measures develop, and our crews will be ready to roll once we get clearance. For now, all field services are on hold.

This pause in work comes at our busiest time of year, from March to May. Inevitably, this will require some prioritizing of services. By the time we return to work, we anticipate that grass will be growing and we will be forced to split our attention between mowing and other spring services. Our managers will be working from home until then, ensuring that we do not get too far behind when the time to return to work comes.

In the meantime, stay healthy and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. I will be joining the other managers in jumping into the field to help make a push on production when the time comes, but that will only be possible if our administrative work is settled in this downtime. Please help us take advantage of this time off with any planning questions.

We will provide updates in the coming days as we receive more guidance from state and local governments. Below, you can review our plans for maintaining client and staff safety once we are back in the field. Until then, keep each other safe and please reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Thank you,
Brian Friend, Owner
