Rhubarb Characteristics
Rhubarb are large easy to grow perennials. In the Pennsylvania climate, they are suited to full sun, but light shade can be appreciated. Drought and dry soils can harm Rhubarb, so be sure that they soils do not dry out. To propagate or control the size, divide the plants in early spring.
There are few serious disease or insect issues that threaten Rhubarb. Crown rot can occur in poorly drained soils. Borers and beetles may be occasional visitors.
