Description
Lady's Mantle Characteristics
Lady's Mantle have greyish green foliage that are covered in tiny soft hairs. The large scalloped leaves bring texture to the plant, as varying colors do not appear other than small greenish yellow flowers.
Lady's Mantle prefers fun sun to part shade, but may require almost full shade in a particularly hot area or climate. If planted in an optimum location, this self seeding perennial can quickly grow invasive. To prevent spreading, deadhead the spent flowers. In times of drought, Lady's Mantle may require watering if the soil has dried out.
These highly textured plants bring character to a garden without overshadowing or competing with flowering plants. They are perfect for edging pathways, or lining fences and gardens. The foliage can be cut and dried in a dark place to be used in dried flower arrangements.
