Description
Mountain Mint Characteristics
Mountain Mint are easy to grow in the correct conditions. Mountain Mint prefers fertile, moist soils but are somewhat drought tolerant. If in shade, bright or sun-dappled shade is best. Full sun will result in the best flowering and insect attraction. These perennials spread easily and quickly via spreading roots and runners, however they rarely become invasive. Prune at the roots to prevent spreading. They may propagate by self-seeding or can be divided.
Disease or pest issues rarely threaten Mountain Mint. Rust is an occasional issue.
