Skullcap | Plant Profile

Skullcap (Scutellaria incana) are showy wildflowers that bloom from July to September. Small purple or blue flowers grow along stems that rise above the foliage. The oval, dark green foliage is slightly serrated.

Skullcap is most ornamental in meadows, wildflowers gardens, or naturalized areas. They can be tolerant of dry soils and can be used on hillsides for erosion control.
