Japanese Pieris 'Mountain Fire' Characteristics
Japanese Pieris 'Mountain Fire' are medium sized evergreen shrubs with large groupings of white flowers. The shape is naturally mound forming and the foliage can appear to droop, especially when in bloom. Spent flowers produce groups of seed capsules. The capsules should be removed immediately as this can help to prevent self-seeding.
'Mountain Fire' can be susceptible to leave spot and dieback which can threaten the health of the plant. Lace bugs, mites, and scale can be occasional insect visitors.
