Description
Shrubby Cinquefoil Characteristics
Shrubby Cinquefoil are hardy shrubs that prefer the cool climate of Pennsylvania. Flowering can last for several months and the best crops are usually produced in full sun. Shrubby Cinquefoil are generally unattractive to deer and rabbits. Once established, they have some tolerance to drought, clay soils, and air pollution. Butterflies and other pollinators frequent the flowers.
Mildew and fungus can appear in humid climates or locations. Spider mites can be occasional insect visitors.
