Description

Frazier Fir Characteristics

Native to the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina, this evergreen is well suited for the Pittsburgh Climate. These trees are ideal for bringing texture to a landscape or privacy to suburban living.

The Frazier Fir is best suited for full sun but can also thrive in partial shade. Moist ground with good drainage and little clay is the best soil for growth. It is a cone-shaped tree with an abundance of densely packed dark green needles.

With no need to trim or prune to keep their shape, these trees are suitable for those with restrictive schedules or mobility. They do not attract deer or rabbit, but will provide a nice home to birds and their nests.
